Video lectures

In Fall 2020 I taught a semester-long discrete math course at UWO for second-year computer science undergraduates. The course was fully asynchronous, which forced a number of innovations.

I curated a textbook on zyBooks and recorded a series of videos on YouTube to accompany the text, and ran an active discussion forum on Piazza. With a lot of help from my department we wrote hundreds of WeBWorK questions, which were then used on the exams.

I gave a talk about the course design at a conference on E-Assessment in Mathematical Sciences. This has been the most challenging and the most rewarding course I have ever taught.
